Rome has long been a city where art, history, and culture intertwine, but art’otel Rome Piazza Sallustio takes this fusion to a whole new level! Having recently opened their doors in March 2025, this boutique lifestyle hotel marks the art’otel brand’s debut in Italy, bringing with it a bold, immersive experience that will leave a lasting impression on all who visit.

The hotel is located in a prime location, just a short walk away from Via Veneto, the Spanish Steps, and Villa Borghese. Every corner of the hotel feels like an art gallery, thanks to the collaboration between renowned Roman artist Pietro Ruffo and interior designer Eyal Shoan of Digital Space. Ruffo’s artwork, featuring celestial maps and intricate zodiac symbols, tells a story of Rome’s rich history in a completely fresh and immersive way. There’s even an on-site gallery hosting rotating exhibitions, with the inaugural showcase featuring Ruffo himself, making this this hotel the largest permanent collection of his work to date.

This gallery is available for private hire and can accomodate up to 60 guests, making it a truly unique venue for some show stopping events! The venue also offers a 107 sqm Creative Room, ideal for private meetings or intimate dinners. The resturant, bar and terrace are also available for group dining experiences or exclusive buyouts for up to 180 people.

Let’s talk about the rooms – the hotel has 99 art-filled rooms and suites, offering a stylish place to relax after exploring the city. If you’re lucky enough to stay in one of the suites, each one features a private terrace overlooking the historic Horti Sallustiani gardens and your very own record player – a perfect spot for a morning espresso or a sunset aperitivo set to a soundtrack of your choosing. Self care has not been forgotten – guests will also have full access to the fitness centre and sauna during their stay.

Food lovers will also feel right at home here. The hotel’s signature restaurant, Yezi, serves up delicious pan-Asian cuisine in a unique setting, modelled after traditional Asian tea houses. Soak up some sun on the terrace, as you enjoy the culinary experience surrounded by Ruffo’s 20 metre tile wall, which displays Rome’s constellations. Beyond the food, art’otel likes to keep things lively with art’beat, its signature cultural events programme. Going forward they’ll be hosting pop-up art installations, live music, fashion showcases, wellness sessions, and culinary experiences, all with the aim of bringing together locals and travellers to celebrate this historic city.
