AOK has launched a new London-based DMC service to target inbound business from international clients.
With 23 years’ experience as an agency offering a range of services, including venue finding, event management, corporate hospitality and more, Alex Hewitt, CEO of AOK Events, said that launching a DMC was a natural step for the business.
“Nearly all of our customers are UK based, and after looking after a group of US incentive winners at Wimbledon last year, we recognised that there is a huge opportunity for us to offer more of our services to clients based outside of the UK who might need some support bringing people to London for a hospitality event, incentive or conference,” he explained.
“We have a team of event managers that have unrivalled local knowledge and can help with all aspects of event programmes. We can do teambuilding, have access to the best tickets from a corporate hospitality perspective, and can offer entertainment through our AOK Entertains division,” added Hewitt.
“There are many DMC companies that specialise in the UK, but we believe that our history, reputation, the breadth of our in-house services and our knowledge of the whole of the UK, gives us a better than average chance of winning some decent sized inbound events, some of which have confirmed already.”
AOK Events was recently placed in the Top 50 Great Places To Work in the UK for a third year running, coming 19th, and the only company of 50 employees or fewer from the hospitality industry to achieve this accolade.
The company also recently became an an employee-owned business after purchasing 65% of the company’s shares from AOK Events shareholders through an Employee Ownership Trust.
