Event:decision has expanded its team with the appointment of a head of sustainable event operations to to further its mission of promoting sustainability across the events industry.
Laura Robinson joins event:decision’s growing team from the Royal College of Physicians, where she was head of events and marketing.
Her appointment follows the recent launch of Impact, a new tool for event planners which assesses, benchmarks and certifies events in a wide range of environmental, social and governance factors.
Robinson will play a pivotal role in expanding the reach of Impact, and Track, the company’s carbon tracking tool, to more than 100 agencies and over 70 brands across the UK, EMEA, US, and APAC regions.
“Laura’s knowledge and experience in both sustainability and events will be invaluable to event:decision as the business continues to scale in both proposition and geography. Her expertise will be instrumental in guiding these organisations towards enhanced event sustainability, ensuring they not only understand but also improve their environmental impact moving forward,” said Matt Grey, director at event:decision.
Robinson commented: “Working in events and travel for the last fifteen years has provided me with a variety of global opportunities and I am so pleased to now combine my experience and passion.
