Claire ten Hacken has been appointed director of global sales, UK & France, meetings and incentives at Corinthia Hotels.
She joins from Maybourne Hotel Group, where she was group sales manager, and prior to that held several sales roles at Rocco Forte Hotels.
In her new role, ten Hacken will be responsible for growing the brand’s presence and driving group sales for Corinthia’s growing portfolio of nine hotels in the UK and French markets. She takes over from Janet Broomfield, who recently left to take on the role of global luxury director, meeting & incentives at Minor Hotels.
She said she was excited to be joining Corinthia Hotels at a time of expansion and growth for the brand.
“Corinthia Hotels offer an impressive list of properties, each with its own unique culture. The brand is expanding its footprint globally and has exciting future openings in the pipeline including New York, Rome, Brussels and Bucharest, all due to open in 2024.
“This new opportunity gives me the chance to collaborate with a small but fantastic team. I’m only two weeks into the role but have been really impressed by the team ethos so far. I focused mainly on smaller groups in my previous roles, so am looking forward to working with properties that have large meeting facilities and some great incentive destinations.”
Besides the four hotels in the upcoming year, there are further openings in Doha, Malta and Riadyh in the pipeline.
