FUN & FASHION. BEHIND THE CURTAIN.
Celebrating a 'new' community
The first in a series of top class networking experiences, micebook hosted a stylish ‘Preview’ evening at the new The Curtain in Shoreditch.
With an exclusive pre-opening experience in Red Rooster, by acclaimed New York chef and restaurateur Marcus Samuelsson, the guests were led by the talented musical trio Wandering Hands to the Curtain Ballroom where they were welcomed by the incredible electric violinists Ember Trio.
With two giant IPads, guests were able to get a first live glimpse of micebook 2.0 with the team. The site is in its test phase and final stage of feature developments.
To celebrate creativity, design and trends, the micebook team invited students from the prestigious London College of Fashion to add a dynamic and colourful theme and perspective to the evening. Each student displayed a single design inspired by destinations with related MICE sponsors supporting the evening via a fun, interactive event app. Evening guests met with the designers resulting in an audience vote for the favoured design. The winning student Alex Hammerstrong, partnered with Business Events Canada won a NYC weekend hosted by The Knickerbocker and Briggs DMC.
A stunning evening of prizes, edible mist and bubbles, social vend prizes winners, destination inspired food & beverage stations and sounds by the Ministry of Sound resulted in guests declaring it one of the “most creative” and “highest quality” networking experiences.
