Sledge and SWM Partners have achieved B Corp certification and promoted Sarah Yeats to group managing director.
The employee-owned agencies received a B Impact Assessment score of 130, above the minimum 80 points required for certification.
The certification follows an assessment of the group’s operations across governance, workers, community, the environment and customers. Verified by B Lab, it recognises businesses that meet standards of social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability.
The group introduced its Sustainability Management System in 2024 and is working towards ISO 20121, the international standard for event sustainability management, and ISO 14001 for environmental management.
Yeat’s new role will see her support the growth of the business as it works towards its sustainability vision.
“While we’ve been operating in line with B Corp, as well as several other industry-leading standards since the implementation of our Sustainability Management System (SMS) in 2024, becoming B Corp certified officialises our commitment to putting purpose alongside profits, and sustainability centre stage,” she said.
“As such, it’s very much business as usual at Sledge and SWM Partners, as we continue our focus on embedding sustainability into our entire business model, our culture and our events.”
The Group is also on the journey towards obtaining the International Standard for Event Sustainability (ISO 20121) and the International Standard for Environmental Management (ISO 14001).
