Lime Venue Portfolio has announced a new partnership with Manchester United, adding Old Trafford to its collection of major UK event venues and reflecting the continued growth of Manchester’s business events industry.

Under the agreement, Lime Venue Portfolio will operate United Events, Manchester United’s dedicated non-matchday events division, managing conferences, exhibitions, gala dinners and corporate meetings across Old Trafford. The team works across 20 suites and more than 150 meeting rooms within one of the world’s most recognisable sporting venues.

Many of the venue’s spaces overlook the pitch, and planners can incorporate exclusive experiences such as the Museum & Stadium Tour to add standout moments to delegate programmes. The venue can also flex well beyond traditional conferencing, with capacity for up to 8,000 hospitality guests, 5,000 complimentary parking spaces and strong international connectivity via Manchester Airport. More than 500 hotel rooms within walking distance further strengthen its credentials for multi-day conferences and exhibitions.

Jo Austin, sales director at Lime Venue Portfolio, said the partnership brings together two strong event brands. “We are bringing together the scale and heritage of Old Trafford with the reach and expertise of Lime Venue Portfolio, expanding what’s possible for our clients,” she said. “As demand grows for venues that can deliver both impact and operational excellence at scale, Old Trafford is a perfect addition to our portfolio.”

Marc Armstrong, chief business officer at Manchester United, said the partnership would help grow the profile of non-matchday events at the stadium. “Old Trafford is one of the most iconic venues in world sport, but beyond matchdays it is also a highly versatile and established choice for conferences, exhibitions, dinners and large-scale corporate events,” he said. “Manchester continues to grow as a major events city, and with the combination of our facilities, location, hotel infrastructure and the unique experience of hosting events at Old Trafford, we believe the venue is exceptionally well placed to support that demand.”

Lime Venue Portfolio has continued to expand its collection throughout 2026, with a focus on distinctive venues combining strong event infrastructure with memorable delegate experiences across the UK.
