A treehouse in the heart of the city? Yes, you heard that right – Manchester’s hotel scene is about to get a playful, free-spirited new addition as the Treehouse Hotel Manchester opens its doors on March 19, 2025. Following the success of Treehouse Hotel London, this unique retreat promises an immersive escape with whimsical interiors, nature-inspired design, and a fresh take on modern hospitality. Bringing a perfectly imperfect aesthetic and a focus on sustainability, the hotel is set to become a must-visit venue in the North, and its central location on Blackfriars Street offers easy access to the city’s buzzing nightlife, cultural hotspots, and shopping districts.
Not only is the Treehouse Hotel our venue of the week, but it will also be home to the inaugural micebook Northern Edition, which will take place on March 27, 2025. This gathering of event professionals, event planners, and industry leaders will highlight the hotel’s inspiring event spaces, sustainability initiatives, and playful yet professional atmosphere – proving that work, rest and play can (and should!) go hand in hand.
Each of the 224 rooms and suites at Treehouse are designed to resemble a cosy hideaway, where you can cuddle up surrounded by playful prints and plenty of quirky charm. The Treehouse Hotel doesn’t just look good – it’s doing good, too. Sustainability is at the heart of everything here, from the use of reclaimed wood and repurposed furniture to a commitment to zero-waste initiatives. They’ve implemented real-time energy and water management systems alongside a recycling and composting infrastructure, and a hotel-wide mission to reduce its environmental footprint.
There’s even more exciting news for foodies! Pip by Mary-Ellen McTague, the ground-floor restaurant, will open alongside the hotel, serving up seasonally inspired, low-waste dishes that celebrate local ingredients and sustainable cooking. Head up to the 14th floor, and you’ll find Sister Moon by Sam Grainger, a Southeast Asian dining destination that’s set to become one of the most exciting new openings of the year. Set to make an appearance later in 2025, the top floor will be home to The Nest in Treehouse, a vibrant rooftop bar with jaw-dropping views of Manchester’s skyline, and The Hideout, a secret rooftop lounge, which is designed for exclusive experiences build upon imagination and indulgence.
However, it’s not just about delicious food and cosy bedrooms, the Treehouse Hotel Manchester is also perfect for connection, creativity, and celebration. Whether you’re hosting a meeting, planning an event, or just looking for a unique space to gather, this hotel has you covered. The Willow, Cedar, and Chestnut meeting rooms offer flexible, nature-inspired spaces, while the Flix screening room (yes, there’s a private cinema!) is perfect for everything from film nights to presentations. It’s the perfect playground for work, rest and play!
