Bray Leino Events has been appointed to deliver the UK pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka in Japan.
The international events and experience agency was selected by the UK’s Department for Business and Trade (DBT) following a competitive tender process.
The contract covers planning and delivery of a full meetings and events programme across the six-months of Expo, promoting UK culture, business, education, and sport, and including a site-wide takeover for UK National Day.
Bray Leino Events will also provide management and delivery of the retail function at UK pavilion, including staffing, product design, sourcing, and supply chain management and all general staffing and support services across the UK’s Expo 2025 Osaka activity.
The agency will leverage its extensive international partnerships and network of expertise in the APAC region to deliver across all elements of the project.
Bray Leino Events will partner with the world-renown restaurant group Mosimann’s, ensuring the UK pavilion’s food and drink offering represents the very best of what the UK has to offer. Additionally, specialist expo partner and Osaka-based operational support agency Beyond Limits will provide a wide range of local staffing options.
Work is well underway on the 155-hectare site on Yumeshima Island in Osaka ahead of the Expo’s opening on 13 April next year. Alongside 160 participating nations, the UK’s presence will offer opportunities for UK businesses to showcase their products and services on a global stage. The island is expected to welcome more than 28 million visitors over the six-month duration of Expo 2025 Osaka.
Bray Leino Events MD Luke Brown said: “It’s an honour to be selected to deliver the UK’s Expo 2025 Osaka activity. Our focus now is to deliver a benchmark for creativity and execution on the world stage – a celebration of all the things that make the UK great.”
CEO Kate Cox added: “Our agency is already a trusted and proven public sector partner when it comes to large scale, international events. Expo is another chance to demonstrate that quality and professionalism.”
This latest win follows the agency’s appointment last year as DBT’s primary event delivery partner across specialist, ministerial, and trade events in the UK and internationally, for the next three years.
