Brand experience agency mccglc has appointed Karen Small to lead its account management team.

Small brings experience of managing high-profile global brands including Amazon, AWS and Wiz, hospitality brands such as Hilton and Marriott during her time at global research consultancy BVA BDRC, and a decade spent with Nationwide Building Society leading the events team. She joins from Sleek Events, where she was relationship director.

Small also devotes a significant amount of her time to causes close to her heart, particularly as board director at the MeetingNeeds foundation, where she heads up the Giving Committee. She is also recognised on the international meetings and events circuit as a presenter and panellist.

“I’m excited to be part of mccglc’s continued growth and have admired their creative work in experience engagement over the past years. I’m motivated by building lasting relationships and I can’t wait to work with our clients,” she said.

Arran Cruickshanks, MD of mccglc added: “The new role has been created to continue mccglc’s growth through excellent, long-term global client relationships. We’re delighted to have Karen on board, she brings experience and enthusiasm in equal measures. We’re looking forward to supporting her as she develops the account management team”.

Cruickshanks stepped up to the MD role in December to drive further growth at mccglc, which specialises in B2B experiences for pharmaceutical, science and technology clients and has doubled its turnover and increased its client base in the last year. The agency has since merged with behavioural change design agency Phorix Limited.
