Event industry leaders gathered at Birch (Selsdon) last week for Chapter II of micebook Ventures, themed around ‘Re-Wilding Your Business, Restoring Our World’.
The three-day event brought event buyers and suppliers together for thought-provoking content around the challenges facing our planet, one-to-one meetings, nature-based experiences on the Birch Estate, captivating campfire sessions, delicious meat-free dining and dancing.

After a welcome lunch, and afternoon of one-to-one meetings, our micebook Ventures delegates gathered for a panel session on re-wilding and giving back to Mother Nature, with experts from outside the events industry, followed by a BBQ dinner on the terrace, and campfire talks.
Following a choice of wake-up wellness sessions in partnership with Be in Your Element, and Birch, day 2 saw our nineteen agency leaders treated to a session with Jeremy Schwartz who shared his CEO expertise and sustainability innovations from working at world class brands such as L’Oréal, The Body Shop, Coca-Cola and Pandora. There were more one-to-one meetings, followed by an afternoon of activities from pottery to outdoor walks and meditating in nature. After a drinks reception in the terrace, guests were treated to a gala dinner, dancing unicorns and a silent disco – thanks to our partners at Beyond repair who got the party started.
And finally, day 3 saw a final set of meetings, following by an opportunity to give back to the Birch (Selsdon) through more experiences. Guests got their hands dirty, planting and foraging for elderflowers to make cordial to be used in the hotel bar and kitchens.
