Event industry leaders gathered in Liverpool last week for the inaugural micebook Ventures, a new sustainable summit themed around the concept of Rebuilding Better.

Buyers from agencies including DRPG, OrangeDoor, Broadsword, Goose Live, Yellow Fish, Strata, Sledge, Live Group, Ashfield Event Experiences and many more, met with supplier partners including Visit MonacoCopenhagen Convention BureauThe HoxtonIconic Luxury HotelsMOB Paris and MOB Lyon HotelExplore EdmontonRocco Forte HotelsSwitzerland Convention & Incentive BureauJust The Letter B, and more to share knowledge and discuss solutions for transforming the business events sector into a force for good.

The event took place at the new Novotel Paddington Village, Spaces at The Spine, the new £55m headquarters of the Royal College of Physicians’ and one of the healthiest buildings in the UK, Liverpool Cathedral and the Maritime Museum.

Day 1

Packed full of thought-provoking conversations, day 1 kicked off with a lunch and content session on diversity and inclusion for members of our nineteen agency leaders’ group, followed by an afternoon of one-to-one meetings, evening networking and our big debate, featuring experts from outside the meetings and events sector.

Day 2

After another inspiring morning of meetings, networking and lunch at Spaces at The Spine, the group took part in some fascinating activities, learning all about hydroponics at Farm Urban, decorating tarts at The City of Liverpool College and experimenting with VR at Digital Innovation Facility.

In the evening, we celebrated over drinks, amazing plant-based food courtesy of Horseradish Catering, and more networking at the stunning Liverpool Cathedral.

Day 3

On the final morning we headed over to the Albert Docks and wrapped up the event with more meetings in Liverpool’s Maritime Museum.
