From the valley floor to the heady heights of its many mountain summits, the Engadin St. Moritz region makes a stunning backdrop for events and incentives that immerse attendees in unspoiled nature.

Situated on the southern side of the Swiss Alps, at 1,800 meters above sea level, Engadin St. Moritz is the perfect place to boost your team’s creativity or reward them with an unforgettable incentive experience after a tough couple of years.

Groups can make the journey from Zurich airport an event in itself and arrive in St. Moritz in style by hiring a special train carriage – from the Art Deco-style Alpine Classic Pullman carriages and Gourmino, a vintage dining carriage on wheels, to panoramic or open-air scenic carriages – there are options to suit all tastes.

With its unique appeal and vast choice of summer and winter activities, the region promises an unforgettable experience for the whole team. In winter, activities include all kinds of sledging: classic tobogganing down scenic runs to the valley floor, dog sledding with teams of huskies, or break-neck bobsleigh rides down the historic track in St. Moritz. In summer, mountain climbing, hiking and biking are all on offer.

The region offers an enormous choice of gentler activities, too. In summer, a few hours on the golf course, perhaps, or an introduction to fly fishing. In winter, maybe a game of curling, or its local variant, Bavarian curling, on one of the many natural ice rinks – or a beginner’s course in ice fishing on the frozen lake.

We share just five experiences to inspire your incentive group…

VIP Snownight

The sight of the slope on Corvatsch illuminated at night is one of the iconic images of Upper Engadin. You can book this slope and have it all to yourself. The VIP Snow Night is the perfect option for a company conference or incentive group. Carve some turns with your clients or colleagues on the freshly groomed, illuminated slopes – prepared just for you and your guests.

Groups can book the Snow Night slope for private use on any evening except Friday. An aperitif can be served on the platform or in the spacious cable car. There are two restaurants available on the mountain – the Alpetta restaurant, which is perfect for cosy gatherings, and the Murtèl middle station for large events.

Liquid gold on Corvatsch

The Corvatsch mountain station at 3,303 metres above sea level is home to the highest single malt whisky distillery in the world. Pascal Mittner and Rinaldo Willy – whisky connoisseurs and co-founders of ORMA – have been maturing their whisky at the Corvatsch mountain station for some time.

The fact that the distillery is at 3,303 metres above sea level has a special influence on how the whisky distils. At this altitude, the distillation process takes place at around 10°C lower than it does at sea level, which allows the ORMA whisky to develop more flavours and greater complexity.

ORMA offers private guided tours of the distillery for incentive groups and the chance to taste a drop or two of this exclusive drink.

Goat trekking & yoga

Enjoy a unique nature and animal experience with six billy goats, which were rescued from the butcher in autumn 2017 and trained as trekking goats. After a first acquaintance, extensive grooming and a goat briefing, the leisurely hike starts in winter from Pontresina and in summer from pastures in the Pontresina/St. Moritz area.

In summer you will walk with the funny and curious animals, past bubbling brooks, over hill and dale for two to four hours. In winter the trekking takes about one to two hours through the snow-covered Engadin landscape. At an idyllic spot you can enjoy a drink with Engadin nut cake, a local pick nick or a delicious cheese fondue.

For a completely unique wellness experience, take part in an energising yoga class with a certified yoga instructor and five goats at special power places in the St. Moritz area. The calming experience is suitable for all levels.

Via Gastronomica

If your group loves great food as much as they love great hikes, the Via Gastronomica is the perfect activity. During your hike, stop off for some delectable breaks at the carefully selected restaurants along the way, each offering gorgeous views of the mountains and the lakes of Upper Engadin.

Get your taste buds off to a great start with a hearty breakfast or a refined starter at the La Chüdera restaurant at the Furtschellas middle station. From here, continue to the dreamy valley of Val Fex, with gorgeous views of the lakes along the way.

Then it’s time for the main course at Hotel Sonne Fex. After Hotel Sonne Fex, take the wild and romantic gorge path down to Sils Maria via Fex Platta. Finally, complete your culinary journey with a homemade dessert at the charming Hotel Seraina.

The Office Caravan
