VisitBritain/VisitEngland has announced the appointment of Paul Black as Head of Business Events.
Black has held senior positions with leading convention bureaus from across the world, including London & Partners and NYC & Company, and heading the MICE team at destination representation company; Hills Balfour MMGY.
He replaces Kerrin MacPhie, who took over as CEO at the Meetings Industry Association following the retirement of Jane Longhurst.
Starting his new role this week, Black will be responsible for leading VisitBritain/VisitEngland’s Business Events team as it focuses on winning more international events across the UK, showcasing British destinations and expertise and helping to rebuild the sector. He will do this alongside Government and industry partners.
