Trivandi announces merger with Australian agency 1024 683 micebook.

Trivandi Australia has announced a merger with Australian agency SoldOut Events, creating a locally led major-events team and significantly expanding its capabilities in the market.

The merger brings together Trivandi’s global track record in mega-event advisory and operations with SoldOut’s 33 years of Australian production experience with offices across Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.

SoldOut brings an established Australian team and specialist expertise spanning creative, technical production, staging and builds, temporary infrastructure, signage, theming and fit-out, warehousing and logistics, event crews and site management.

The agency’s track record includes projects around the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023, the launch of the Rugby World Cup 2027 and 2029, WorldPride and the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games.

The merger significantly increases the scale and depth of Trivandi Australia’s operations at a time of major growth in the market.

Rob Nelson, Trivandi regional director, Australia and APAC said: “Australia is entering one of the most significant periods of major event activity in its history, and we have been steadily building our local presence, people and capability to support the opportunity ahead.

“The merger with SoldOut is an important next step in that growth and brings together an extraordinary depth of major event experience. Across the combined team, our experience spans every Summer Olympic Games since Sydney 2000, World Expos, FIFA World Cups and Commonwealth Games. Trivandi was recently the Official Event Delivery Partner for Glasgow 2026, while SoldOut has spent three decades producing some of Australia’s largest events, including as the Official Event Agency of the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games.”

Kim-Daniel Voss, SoldOut CEO added: “After 33 years of SoldOut in Australia, joining Trivandi represents an exciting next chapter for our business, our people and our clients. Becoming part of Trivandi gives our team direct access to a global network of major event expertise, proven methodologies and an international project pipeline.

“It creates new opportunities for our people to work on some of the world’s most complex events, while bringing that global experience, network and best practice back to Australia.”

The merger marks the latest step in Trivandi’s continued investment and growth in Australia, following the establishment of its Asia-Pacific hub in Brisbane in March 2025 and the acquisition of overlay specialist Cutler Synthesized Projects two months later.

It also comes amid a wider push by international event and experience agencies to build their presence in Australia, as the country gears up for a packed pipeline of major sporting events culminating in the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

As we explored earlier this year in Race Across the World – UK agencies make moves down under, agencies including TBA Group, asembl.group and Identity have all invested in growing their Australian operations as they look to capitalise on increasing client demand and the country’s major-events opportunity.
