Conference Care has announced the appointment of Pauline Beattie as its new managing director, as Andrew Deakin moves into the role of chief executive.

The move will see Deakin focus on strategic oversight, key projects and growth initiatives, working closely with Beattie to lead Conference Care into its next phase.

Beattie has been an integral part of Conference Care for more than 25 years. As sales director, she has helped shape Conference Care’s commercial strategy, deepen client relationships and unlock new opportunities across client partnerships while driving the evolution of its service offering through digital innovation and sustainability-led solutions.

In her new role as MD, Beattie will aim to build on the experience, talent and ambition across the business and strengthen client and sector partnerships.

Her contribution to the wider industry is also reflected in her role as co-chair of the Association of British Professional Conference Organisers (ABPCO), where she has helped support the organisation’s growth, champion professional development, and contribute to its role as a leading voice within the conference and events sector.

Speaking about her new role, Beattie said: “I’m incredibly proud to take on the role of managing director at such an important time for Conference Care. This is a business with strong foundations, brilliant people and long-standing client relationships, and I feel privileged to help lead it into its future.

“Our focus is firmly on what comes next. We have a team ready to keep evolving, innovating and delivering even greater value for our clients. We are moving forward stronger than ever, with real energy, confidence and excitement for what comes next.”
