The second micebook Northern Edition event brought together a 90-strong group of event buyers and suppliers for a day of education, inspiration and one-to-one meetings at The Treehouse Manchester last week.
Tying in with our location, this year’s theme, Rooted in Creativity, explored how great ideas emerge and creativity thrives in the right conditions, through diverse perspectives and spaces that encourage connection and collaboration.
Agency buyers from across the North of England attended including Venue Choice, Fresh, Make Events, Sparq, Conference Care, BeSure Events, First Event, Carenzi Venues and Eventful.
They met with suppliers including Transcend Cruises at Ablemaxx, Fairmont Monte-Carlo, Gran Hotel Taoro, Visit Scotland, Vine Tree, Destination Vancouver, Visit Brussels. The Doyle Collection and more.
In partnership with Speakers Corner, author and behavioural expert Jez Rose kicked off the day with a motivational keynote on The Art of Reinvention: How to Thrive in a World of Constant Change. With energy, authenticity and humour, Rose challenged how we think about success, emphasised the power of questions to unlock creativity, and shared his reset five-step plan for behaviour change.
In a fireside chat on Making unforgettable events, anywhere, Holly Moore, founder & CEO of Make Events, shared her insights on creating unforgettable events in unusual spaces, from hosting Nobu Manchester’s groundbreaking event in an unused viaduct to delivering a headline gala for Hitachi inside a working railway factory.
In the afternoon, attendees also got the opportunity to choose from two workshop sessions. First Event’s Chloe Patrickson and Max Collishaw focused on why Creativity Is the Experience in a workshop session that explored how creativity shows up not just in the look or format of an event, but in how people feel, interact and connect.
INVNT’s Claudia Stephenson and Peter Clarke delved into The ROE Revolution: AI and the Age of Audience Co-Creation. Using AI/XR cases like Xerocon and ABB, they explored how to pivot from traditional ROI to a refined Return on Engagement (ROE) model.
Guests enjoyed a networking lunch sponsored by Transcend Cruise, and an evening reception with a prize draw featuring hotel stays and more, kindly donated by our partners.
Thanks to our headline sponsor Visit Qatar and our other event sponsors and partners including Speakers Corner, Transcend Cruises, Impaact Live, Sterling Event Group, and CrowdComms.
