Mundus Representation hosted a four-day UK roadshow last week, bringing together event planners and international partners in Manchester, Leeds and London under the theme “Building Deeper Connections.”
The roadshow kicked off at Treehouse Hotel Manchester, bringing together UK event professionals with Mundus’ global destination and hotel partners for an evening of networking and reconnection, before heading onto a second stop – The Ivy Asia in Leeds.
Reflecting the roadshow’s theme, both events focused on strengthening relationships between agencies, destinations and the people behind them.
The roadshow concluded in London, where 85 event professionals joined Mundus and its partners at Treehouse Hotel London’s Nest rooftop venue for a final evening of networking and industry connection, with the micebook team also in attendance.
A highlight of the London event was Mundus’ charity raffle, supported by its global partners. Prizes included European weekend breaks, flights to Istanbul with Turkish Airlines paired with a hotel stay, and a six-night city, winelands and safari experience in South Africa. The raffle raised £1,870 for the industry charity Meeting Needs.
While the roadshow celebrated global collaboration, Mundus also noted that its UAE partners, 2xceed DMC and Wynn Dubai, were sadly unable to attend the events due to recent developments in the Middle East. The company expressed its disappointment that they could not be present and its hope that the situation in the region will stabilise soon so the industry can continue building connections across borders.
The fourth and final day of the roadshow focused on knowledge sharing and collaboration, with Mundus hosting a partner round-table session exploring industry trends, best practice and future opportunities. The discussion featured insights from Karen Hutchins and Ian Cummings of Nteractive, who shared perspectives on innovation and the evolving role of technology within the events industry.
“We are incredibly grateful to our partners who travelled to the UK to be part of the roadshow, and to the many event professionals who joined us in Manchester, Leeds and London,” said Andre van der Bijl, managing director of Mundus Representation.
“Seeing our community come together in person and embrace our theme of Building Deeper Connections perfectly reflects the spirit of our industry and the importance of strong relationships across our global network.”
