Set on a prominent corner of Portman Square in Marylebone, Nobu Hotel London Portman Square brings Japanese-inspired hospitality together with contemporary London design.
The hotel, which hosted a group as part of our hosted buyer programme for micebook EXPO earlier this month, offers a distinctive option for planners seeking high-impact events paired with globally recognised cuisine and design-led surroundings.
Bedrooms & suites

There are 249 rooms and suites across seven categories, some featuring private terraces overlooking Portman Square. Interiors by Make Architects reflect a Japanese minimalist aesthetic, enhanced by bespoke lighting, striking wall prints and intricate joinery.
For those seeking something more indulgent, the One Bedroom Suite and Nobu Penthouse provide elevated space and privacy.
High-impact spaces

Designed with events firmly in mind, Nobu Hotel London Portman Square caters for conferences, incentive groups and offsite gatherings of up to 700 guests. The Nobu Ballroom is one of the capital’s most stylish and tech-enabled venues, featuring a nine-metre LED screen, generous natural light and a spacious pre-function area, making it ideal for large receptions and conferences.
For smaller meetings, the Sakura Boardroom offers an 18-seat, boardroom-style setting equipped with a 75-inch screen and advanced AV, alongside access to a private lounge for breakout sessions or informal receptions. Throughout the hotel, service is rooted in omotenashi, the Japanese philosophy of thoughtful hospitality, ensuring every detail is carefully considered.
Public spaces including the lobby, ballroom, boardrooms, restaurant and bar were designed by David Collins Studio, with craftsmanship taking centre stage.
Elevated dining

As you’d expect, dining sits at the heart of the Nobu experience. Nobu Restaurant Portman Square showcases the brand’s iconic menu, blending Japanese technique with South American influence. With a menu designed by world-renowned chef Nobu Matsuhisa, signature dishes such as Black Cod Miso, Yellowtail Sashimi and Rock Shrimp Tempura sit alongside locally inspired plates, all served in a design-forward setting that reflects Marylebone’s character.
Nobu Bar offers a more intimate, late-night atmosphere, with moody interiors, leather seating and subtle lighting creating a destination for cocktails or an authentic izakaya-style experience.
Private dining is available for everything from business lunches and cocktail receptions to full-scale celebrations, with curated set menus highlighting Nobu’s signature flavours. The hotel also provides bespoke Nobu catering, extending the experience to off-site events with tailored menus, live cooking stations and chef-led masterclasses.
Beyond events and dining, the hotel also features a fitness centre and wellness facilities.
Nobu London Portman Square is owned by L+R; a group renowned for its portfolio of some of the world’s most prestigious hotels, including Cliveden House, Chewton Glen, Hilton Park Lane and Fairmont Monte Carlo. L+R recently launched Iconic Hotels & Resorts, a new global owner-operator brand that brings together the heritage of Iconic Luxury Hotels and L+R Hotels.
