The theme for this year ‘Designed to Connect’, created in partnership Lisa James at Wentworth Collective, was woven throughout the content programme and experience, and aimed to encourage buyers and suppliers to connect in multiple ways, both on and off the show floor.
Day one highlights included a keynote and next gen workshop with speaker, entrepreneur, work–life coach and author of The Collision Code, James Eder, who shared insights on how to turn conversations into connections.
Australia’s top keynote speaker on human connection and aliveness at work, Mykel Dixon certainly brought the room alive with his session on From Pitch to Partnership: The Power of We – bringing his own unique blend of live music and creativity (kudos to DMC Advantage’s James Dowson for his stint on the keyboard) and ending with a giant game of Rock, Paper, Scissors.

Later in the day, Dixon teamed up with Lisa James for a workshop all about designing for human connection (check out the highlights from both sessions here).
Plus, our industry panel sessions delved into the evolving agency landscape – exploring why bigger doesn’t necessarily mean better and what the different agency models offer employees, clients and partners (check out our key takeaways from the session here) – hospitality excellence and what event planners can learn from hospitality experts, Proving the value of events, and the US expansion opportunity.
Day two highlights kicked off with an immersive corporate planner and supplier panel session setting out the key challenges corporates are navigating as they look ahead to 2026 and exploring how collaboration across the ecosystem is essential to delivering better outcomes for clients, teams and audiences alike.
Gemma Screen ran a workshop filled with practical examples how planners can use AI to create better events, while Claire Goodwin-Fee, psychotherapist, change-maker, author, and the founder of Frontline19, delved into The Real Cost of Burnout in Hospitality & Events and shared tips on how we can better connect with (and look after) ourselves.
In his packed-out keynote session in partnership with Speakers Corner, former Head of Creative Development at Warner Bros. Studios, Jason Bevan inspired delegates to reimagine what’s possible in events and experience design.

At the end of the day, we celebrated 30 agencies that are driving sustainability forward at the launch of the Power 30 Most Sustainable Agencies 2025-26, created in partnership with event:decision.
Attendees also took part in activations with Flicksbox Photo Booth Experiences, The Headshot Guy and Girl, PaveGen, Piing gaming, branded their own notebooks with Better Branding and enjoyed delicious treats thanks to Lick Me I’m Delicious.
Thanks to our partners and sponsors for the event including our fantastic venue partner Convene Sancroft St Pauls, Lisa James at Wentworth Collective, Speakers Corner and CrowdComms, our official event registration and badging partner, and our photography and videography team Chris Cooper at ShotAway and Mike Massaro.
