Creative events agency emc3 has appointed Lee-Anne Caldwell as its new managing director as it continues to expand its global footprint.

Caldwell joined emc3 six months ago as head of client experience, part of a planned transition that allowed her to fully immerse herself in the agency’s culture before stepping into the MD role.

“We knew from an early stage that Lee-Anne was a great fit and absolutely the right person to take emc3 forward,” said Alistair Graham, CEO of emc3. “She’s already made a huge impact, building strong relationships with the team and clients and bringing clarity to our global growth plans. Her leadership will be pivotal as we continue to scale with purpose.”

Caldwell brings over 20 years’ experience in the events industry, including nearly a decade at Ashfield Event Experiences, now Emota, most recently as global senior VP. She played a key role in the merger of Ashfield Event Experiences and WRG and was instrumental in the launch of Emota.

She will now lead emc3 through a building phase, developing a robust structure for sustainable growth and setting teams up for long-term success.

“I’m incredibly proud to step into the role of MD and lead the agency into its next phase of growth. There’s so much potential here, and big ambitions to match,” said Caldwell. “What really stood out to me about emc3 is that the values aren’t just words. The commitment to sustainability runs deep, and the B Corp certification is just one example. I’m surrounded by people who not only care about delivering incredible events but also about making a real, lasting difference. That’s rare, and it’s exactly the kind of agency I want to help grow.”

Caldwell’s appointment follows the addition of ten new team members across emc3’s global operations, driven by new client wins and a growing global demand for sustainable, experience-led events.

Appointments include:

Daria Beliakova, account director
Johannes Erasmus, head of partnerships
Annie Graham, marketing executive
Mark Hughes, head of live
Ewan Jamieson, executive producer
Ben Leet, finance director
Sophie Moseley, client engagement proposal lead
Charlie Pepperell, business development manager (From Now)
Odile Poliquin-Michaud, senior project manager
David Rowland, project director

“We’re on a mission to keep raising the bar for what great events look and feel like. Expanding our team with top-tier talent ensures we can meet growing demand and maintain our high-quality service,” said Graham.
