Rosewood Schloss Fuschl has opened its doors this month, nestled by the Austrian Alps on the breathtaking blue waters of Lake Fuschl just outside of Salzburg.
Originating in 1461 as a grand hunting lodge and summer residence for the Archbishop of Salzburg, the restored 15th-century castle is comprised of 98 guestrooms including 42 suites and six lakeside chalets.
Rosewood Schloss Fuschl marks the ultra-luxury brand’s second property in Austria and the seventh in Europe with the opening of Rosewood Munich last October.
The property features an Asaya Spa and six distinct food and beverage destinations including the Schloss Fuschl See Club beach club.
Other options include the Schloss Restaurant, which offers authentic Salzkammergut cuisine, Seeterrasee with views of Lake Fuschl, and Sisi Teesalon offering hand-made cakes and pralines along with daily afternoon tea.
The hotel provides an impressive backdrop for a range of events, with a range of spaces accommodating up to 80 for a banquet or 120 for a reception.
It’s also an ideal location for incentive groups to explore Salzburg and the surrounding Alpine landscape.
