Destination Vancouver and Air Canada hosted an exclusive culinary evening celebrating the arrival of spring and Vancouver’s cheery blossom season in London last week.
The event, held at Murano by Angela Hartnett, saw 50+ UK event profs from agencies including Strata Create, Shore Events, Eventful, Noble Events, The Collective BCD Meetings and Events and Quintessentially, treated to a Michelin-star menu.
Two exceptional female chefs and their culinary teams – Hartnett and Andrea Carlson of Vancouver’s Burdock & Co, collaborated to create dishes inspired by cherry blossom-lined streets and the lush scents of springtime renewal.
The event gave guests a taste of Vancouver’s impressive culinary credentials – Condé Nast Traveler and Olive both tout Vancouver as one of the best food cities in the world,
With its unique location on Canada’s west coast, Vancouver has developed a food and dining landscape that showcases the region’s natural abundance while also celebrating an exciting array of culinary cultures.
Vancouver’s culinary scene is one of the most varied and vibrant in the world, offering everything from a burgeoning street food scene and the best sushi outside through to waterfront seafood restaurants and Michelin-starred fine dining.
The inaugural Michelin Guide Vancouver was revealed last autumn, with eight restaurants awarded stars including Burdock & Co.
