Venue of the Week: NeueHouse Madison Square

Venue of the Week: NeueHouse Madison Square

Venue of the Week: NeueHouse Madison Square 1024 673 micebook.

As meetings and events continue to evolve beyond traditional conference formats, planners are increasingly seeking venues that blend hospitality, culture and creativity with functional event space. And NeueHouse Madison Square, the New York venue that hosted micebook’s first US C-Suite Agency Growth Summit on 12 May, fits the bill perfectly.

Located in Manhattan’s NoMad district, the eight-storey venue combines private event spaces, lounges, screening rooms, meeting areas and members’ club-style hospitality within a design-led setting created by David Rockwell. Originally launched in 2011 as a private workspace and cultural hub for the creative industries, the venue has built a reputation for attracting leaders across film, fashion, media, technology and entertainment.

The venue recently entered a new chapter following its acquisition by Convene Hospitality Group (CHG), parent company of Convene and etc.venues, after NeueHouse filed for bankruptcy in 2025. The deal secured the future of the Madison Square location, which CHG described as an architecturally significant, experience-led space aligned with its growing hospitality portfolio.

A creative backdrop for modern events

Rich interiors, curated artwork, soft lighting and lounge areas give NeueHouse a distinctly New York vibe – creative yet cool, urban but laidback.

The Madison Square property’s layout naturally supports the kind of networking and conversation-led programming increasingly shaping executive events, with relaxed lounge-style social spaces encouraging connection beyond the formal agenda.

It offers a range of event and meeting environments, from intimate boardrooms and lounges through to larger production-ready spaces.

Among its standout spaces is the open-floor Penthouse, a loft-style venue overlooking Madison Square with skyline views across Manhattan, which provided the backdrop for micebook’s US Summit and can accommodate up to 220 theatre-style. The flexible top-floor space also features built-in lighting and sound capabilities, retractable screens and partitions to divide the room for different event formats.

Elsewhere, the venue’s Gallery space acts as the social heart of the building, combining high ceilings, terracotta walls, curated artwork, chandeliers and Brooklyn-made furniture to create a refined but relaxed setting for presentations, receptions and networking events. At its centre sits an auditorium-style stepped seating area designed as a modern amphitheatre for talks and cultural programming.

For more content-driven or production-focused events, NeueHouse features an 86-seat Cinema inspired by 1960s Italian movie houses, complete with Dolby Atmos surround sound, digital projection and its own cocktail lounge. The venue also has a podcast studio, and a range of private boardrooms designed for both traditional meetings and more collaborative lounge-style set-ups.

Built for experience-led events

Alongside its event spaces, the venue offers integrated production support including live streaming, branded content creation, lighting design and customised digital displays.

Catering is also a central part of the offer, with the in-house team supporting everything from seated dinners and cocktail receptions to product launches and late-night celebrations, with bespoke menus and bar concepts tailored to each event.
