There are very few event spaces in London where the view does this much work. The Tower Suite at The Tower Hotel by Thistle sits right beside Tower Bridge on St Katharine’s Way, with floor-to-ceiling windows looking out across the Thames and the London skyline. It has always been one of the city’s most recognisable event spaces, and following a multi-million pound refurbishment it has just relaunched with a completely fresh proposition.
The renovation has brought all-new interiors, updated infrastructure, a new lighting and climate control system, and a full suite of advanced AV technology including integrated digital signage, HD projection, flexible connectivity, high-spec music systems and retractable ceiling rigging for full production customisation. The space accommodates up to 500 delegates and it can be divided into smaller rooms for more intimate events, giving planners the flexibility to run multi-format programmes within the same footprint. It has its own private entrance too, which makes a practical difference for large groups arriving and departing.

The Tower Suite is the headline act, but the wider hotel event offering is also substantial, with a broad range of meeting and event spaces across the property. Meeting rooms on the 12th floor offer panoramic views across East London, Tower Bridge and the river, while VU from The Tower provides another option for receptions and drinks events with a skyline backdrop. Vicinity, the ground floor restaurant, and the riverside terrace round out the food and drink offering for groups wanting to keep everything on site. For residential events, the hotel has 801 rooms, making it one of the more practical choices in London for large-scale residential programmes.
Getting there is also very straightforward. Tower Hill Underground station, serving the Circle and District lines, is around a five-minute walk away. Tower Gateway DLR station is similarly close, and London City Airport can be reached in around 30 minutes by DLR, which is worth knowing for international programmes. The Tower of London UNESCO World Heritage Site is on the doorstep, St Katharine Docks is steps away, and the riverside walk connecting the area to London Bridge and beyond gives planners plenty to work with for an evening programme. It is a part of the city that has genuine atmosphere, and the refurbished Tower Suite gives planners a proper reason to put it firmly back on the shortlist.
