From the Site we run a directory service which facilitates the global connectivity of the MICE industry (the “Service”).
We operate a clear copyright policy in relation to any Content that is alleged to infringe the copyright of a third party. “Content” comprises any videos, text, photographs, data, graphics, software, interactive features, links, and any other content and material which can be viewed through access to our Site and/or the Service or may be contributed to our Site and/or the Service. As part of our copyright policy, we will terminate user access to our Site and Service if any Content submitted by any user infringes any third party’s copyright or other intellectual property rights or is otherwise unlawful.
(a) As a user of our Site you may be allowed to submit Content. You understand that whether or not Content is published on our Site, we do not guarantee any confidentiality with respect to Content.
(b) You retain all of your ownership rights in your Content, but you are required to grant limited licence rights to us and other users of our Site and the Service. These are described in paragraph 5 of these Terms (Rights you licence).
(c)You understand and agree that you are solely responsible for your own Content and the consequences of posting or publishing it. We do not validate or endorse any Content or any opinion, recommendation, or advice expressed in it, and we expressly do not accept any liability in connection with Content.
(d) You promise that you have (and will continue to have during your use of our Site) all necessary licenses, rights, consents, and permissions which are required to enable us to use and display your Content on our Site and/or as part of the Service.
(e) You agree that you will not post or upload any Content which contains material which it is unlawful for you to possess, post or upload in the country in which you are resident, or which it would be unlawful for us to use or possess in connection with the Site and/or the provision of the Service, or which is indecent or offensive or deliberately untruthful or calculated to harm the reputation of any person or business.
(f) You agree that Content you submit to the Site and/or the Service will not contain any third party copyright material, or material that is subject to other third party ownership rights (including rights of privacy or rights of publicity), unless you have a formal licence or permission from the actual owner, or you are legally entitled in some other way to post the Content you submit and to grant us the licence referred to in paragraph 5 below.
(g) If we become aware of any potential breach of this policy, we reserve the right (but shall have no obligation) to decide whether Content complies with the content requirements set out in these Terms and we may remove such Content and/or terminate your access to the Site and/or the Service for uploading Content which is in breach of this policy at any time, without prior notice and in our sole judgement.
(h) You further understand and acknowledge that in viewing the Site and/or using the Service, you may be exposed to Content that is factually inaccurate, offensive, or otherwise objectionable to you. You waive any legal rights or remedies you have or may have against us in relation to any such Content.
Rights you licence
When you upload or post Content to the Site and/or the Service, you grant:
(a) to us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable licence (with the right to sub-licence) to use, reproduce, distribute, create works deriving from, display, and perform that Content in connection with the provision of the Site and the Service. This includes for promoting and redistributing part or all of the Service (and derivative works of the Service) in any media formats and through any media channels;
(b) to each user of the Site and/or the Service, a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to access your Content through the Site and/or the Service, and to use, reproduce, distribute, prepare works deriving from, display and perform such Content to the extent permitted by the functionality of the Site and/or the Service and under these Terms.
These licenses granted by you in Content terminate when you remove or delete your Content from the Site (without limiting any right of us or any user of the Site and/or Service to continue making any use of any such Content to the extent that such use (for instance, promotional use by us or personal use by any user) began prior to your removal or deletion of the Content).
